Ryan Lalicker,

Data Analyst

Ryan has been a part of Telos for just over a year. He has consistently brought sharp analytical thinking and strong work ethic to every project he’s touched. We’re glad to have him on the team and excited to see where his continued learning takes him!

The business side…

What led you to pursue this career path? I loved math growing up and wanted to keep studying it in college. When I came to Nebraska for graduate school I focused on statistics and the jump from there to working with data was a natural next step.

What has been your most rewarding professional experience so far? I enjoy seeing my progress. Tasks that were difficult in my first few months on the job have gotten much easier and let’s me know I am learning.

What is the most stressful part of your job? When our quarterly clients give us data it tends to be all at once, which makes for an eventful and fast-moving period for the LTV team.

Do you have a professional mentor? I had several professors at both my undergrad and grad school departments that played a key role in getting me to where I am now. When I was unsure what I wanted to do, they always listened and offered advice.

How do you approach your work/life balance? One of the best parts about working at Telos is the work/life balance. The principals are understanding when something comes up unexpectedly and do not have a problem with you taking time off when you need it.

What behavior or personality trait do you most attribute to your success and why? My level-headedness. I like to think I do not get too high or low in most situations.

Do you have one professional skill you are currently working on? I am starting a course about Python coding. I took some courses in college, but I would like to improve my ability.

What is one piece of advice you would give someone just starting out in your same career path? Listen and don’t be afraid to ask questions. Each company will have their own process and the best way to learn it is to talk with the people who know it.

And the personal side…

What is your favorite food?  I have always really liked roast dinners. Favorite restaurant? I still consider myself new to Omaha, so I am still looking for a favorite restaurant.

What was your first job? Pizza delivery driver. A great job for a small-town kid where you get paid to drive around.

What is the best vacation you have ever taken? In 2025 I took a two-and-a-half-week trip to Japan with my fiancé. I find myself thinking about something I did there almost daily.

Do you have any siblings? I have three siblings, one sister and two brothers. I am the third child.

What is your favorite holiday and why? I’ve always liked Thanksgiving. The food is awesome and seeing family is always great.

What is something that always makes you smile?‍ My 18-year-old cat Garfield. He has been with my fiancé since he was a kitten and he has made me an animal lover.

Where did you grow up?‍ ‍Goodland, KS

What is your favorite season and why?‍ ‍I like Spring. Everything is bright and colorful which gives me a sense of hope. It is also not so hot yet.

What is the first concert you ever attended?‍ ‍My first real concert was Hozier in Kansas City. That was probably my favorite. Very cool atmosphere at an outdoor amphitheater at sunset.
